The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation - (IDFPR) announced today that the Directors of Banking, Kerri A. Doll; Financial Institutions, Francisco Menchaca; Professional Regulation, Jay Stewart; and Real Estate, Kreg Allison (acting) signed the following enforcement orders in the month of April 2016.
Applicants seeking a physician or temporary physician license in Illinois will now find it easier to authorize third-party communications with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Effective immediately, IDFPR will include a standardized authorization form in all physician application packets, providing a streamlined process for granting employers or license credentialing companies permission to discuss a licensee’s application with the Department.
An alternative to the paper license pocket card is now available for the majority of licensed professionals regulated by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). An estimated 1.1 million active licensees within the Division of Professional Regulation (DPR) and the Division of Real Estate (DRE) may now choose to store an electronic license pocket card on their smartphone or tablet.
